To celebrate Link Ethiopia’s 15th birthday we are holding a very special ‘birthday gala’ showing of La Boheme at the Soho Theatre in central London. The team behind La Boheme have kindly donated the tickets for one night’s performance in order to raise money for our work helping children enjoy a better education in Ethiopia.
A little about La Boheme: If you are new to opera, this is absolutely the perfect opera to see! It is an intimate and accessible performance, sung by young singers, with the most tuneful music and touching story, and it has got rave reviews from the major newspapers and critics, as you can see below. It originally was planned to run for six weeks in a north London pub but was extended to six months, was transferred to the Soho Theatre for a sell-out run last summer and is back there in January and February. Jonathan Miller, one of the world’s leading opera directors, raved about it and has agreed to direct the group’s next opera! So this really is a must-see event. Included in the ticket price is a champagne reception and a chance to meet the cast of La Boheme, as well as finding out more about Link Ethiopia’s work with schools in Ethiopia.
The performance will take place on Saturday 12th February. The tickets are £55 each and all profits will go to support school children in Ethiopia.
We would love you to be with us for this memorable evening and would really appreciate if you could spread the word to colleagues, friends and family!
