The event
The Sky Ride is a great opportunity to get the entire family involved! The events are running nationwide all summer. Plus, it is a traffic-free route, and you can take advantage of the bike hire service available.
By taking part on behalf of Link Ethiopia, you will help us to continue our work in changing lives through education. With the money you raise you will help to improve schools, empower teachers and ensure that all children can get a good education.

How much does it cost to take part?
Registration to the event is free, and ensures that all who take part on the day are covered.
What support will I receive?
Halfords are offering free bike checks (worth £14.99) at the event. So don’t worry if you haven’t used your bike in a while! If you choose to participate on behalf of Link Ethiopia, we will be on hand to give you the advice and information you need to achieve your fundraising goals. You will also get a spot in our hall of fame!
When and where does the event take place?
The events will take place in towns throughout the country, all throughout the summer. Click here for a list of participating towns and their corresponding dates.
What is the course like?
In each location, the course is set to be traffic-free, with an allocated sprint zone for you to race your fellow cyclists (or your family and friends). The Sky Ride is a leisurely ride, however, so there will be no pressure to compete.
How much should I fundraise?
There is no target set for the Sky Ride, given as it is a ride set up to inspire a love of cycling! This does give you the opportunity to set your own fundraising target, and we would be happy to help you with that!
We can provide each participant with information to set up an online fundraising account, a fundraising pack, and guidance and support from our fundraising team to help you achieve your goals.
