New classrooms ready
The first ever proper classrooms are ready and in use at the Anchow Mikael school, about an hour outside of Gondar. Until about a year ago, the pupils were taught under temporary shelters made of branches and sticks which washed away with every heavy rainstorm. For less than £1000, the local community has been able to build an impressive double classroom and the pupils are now enjoying year-round education!
