Olympic History

The Olympic Games is an international sporting event which has been taking place since 1894. The Summer Olympics take place every four years. They last for two weeks, followed by two weeks of Paralympics in which athletes who have a disability compete. There are about 26 sports in the Olympics and 11,000 of the best athletes from most countries in the world take part. This presentation introduces the history of the Olympics, the Olympics today and Ethiopia’s participation in 2012.
