The Olympics and National Pride
The Olympic Games is an international sporting event which has been taking place since 1894. There are about 26 sports in the Olympics and 11,000 of the best athletes from most countries in the world take part. Students explore attitudes to the Olympic, consider reasons for differences between LEDCs and MEDCs and think about what affects their sense of national pride.
