Proposal A project proposal has been sent to Padstow School to ask their help in funding new library furniture at Arbatu Ensesa School. Received Funds We’ve just received the detailed costs for the project. It will cost 10,000 birr for the furniture.
New initiative started To keep the toilets we built clean and hygienic we have started a new toilet cleaning programme in Tsadiku Yohannes Elementary School. Pupils from the school will volunteer to clean the toilets each day and in return they will be paid. This benefits the school, giving them a clean toilet, and benefits the pupils who clean the toilets by giving them the opportunity to earn some extra money which can help their family.
Project Completed! The two Grade 8 classrooms are now completed and in use! Congratulations to everyone involved!
Fundraising in progress To fund our new project at Enfranze Elementary School we are applying to raise about 7,500 birr from a university. Project costs A new project has been identified and the costs calculated. The project is to fix and repair some of the school’s classrooms which are beginning to fall apart. It will cost 5,520 birr to strengthen the lower classroom walls by constructing a stone and cement perimeter wall.

The school will put this towards a variety of books, including fiction titles and dictionaries for pupils from Grades 1 to 8.

It is estimated that 80% of disease within the developing world is caused by the lack of adequate sanitation, and this is perhaps most critical in the school environment where thousands of pupils work and play together.
