The event
Take part in Europe’s biggest open water swimming event for Link Ethiopia! The Great Swim takes place in five locations across the UK.
By taking part on behalf of Link Ethiopia, you will help us to continue our work in changing lives through education. With the money you raise you will help to empower teachers, improve schools and ensure that all children can get a good education.
We will also support you with any help or resources you might need, to get you on the right foot with fundraising. Please fill out the contact form on this page if you have any questions.

How much does it cost to take part?
Entry costs between £22 – £50 depending on your race location and race distance. You can click on the following links to see the prices for the races.

What support will I receive?
Swim for Link Ethiopia and we will be on hand to give you the advice and support you need to achieve your fundraising goals. Raise money for Link Ethiopia and you will earn a spot in our Hall of Fame!
When and where does the event take place?
The Great North Swim – Friday 12th – Sunday 14th of June, 2015 – Windermere, Lake District
The Great East Swim – Saturday 20th June, 2015 – Alton Water, Suffolk
The Great Manchester Swim – 4th July, 2015 – Salford Quays
The Great Scottish Swim – Saturday 29th August, 2015 – Loch Lomond, Scotland
The Great London Swim – Saturday 18th July, 2015 – Royal Victoria Dock, London
How much should I fundraise?
Link Ethiopia will be delighted with whatever you fundraise and there are no fundraising minimums for the challenge.
Every penny raised will help Link Ethiopia change lives through education.
